Pakistan, UAE agree to visa exemption for diplomatic, official passport holders
Deputy PM described it as important milestone for consolidation of brotherly relations and future partnership


Islamabad: During the visit of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), significant progress has been made in Pakistan-UAE relations. An agreement has been reached between the two countries to exempt diplomatic and official passport holders from visa requirements.
The agreement was signed by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan during the Joint Ministerial Commission meeting, which was held in Abu Dhabi after 12 years.
On this occasion, Ishaq Dar said that this agreement reflects the shared commitment between the two brotherly countries to further strengthen the long-standing relations and deepen institutional cooperation.
During the meeting, memoranda of understanding on the promotion of the digital economy, Artificial Intelligence, and joint investment were also signed, which will create new possibilities for bilateral cooperation.
The Deputy Prime Minister described this development as an important milestone for the consolidation of brotherly relations and future partnership.
