(Web Desk): A deadly exchange of gunfire between two tribes in the Tota Adda area of Qila Abdullah district of Balochistan has left six people dead and several others injured, officials confirmed.
According to the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Qila Abdullah, the confrontation involved heavy weapons used by both sides during the clash.
He stated that the violent tribal conflict resulted in six fatalities and multiple injuries. To de-escalate the situation, Frontier Corps (FC) personnel were called in, while the Levies Force cordoned off the area.
Subsequently, a jirga (tribal council) comprising local elders successfully mediated a peace agreement between the rival factions.
The district administration reported that the DC and tribal elders persuaded armed individuals to vacate the area, after which the Levies and FC forces took control of the region.
According to officials, 14 injured individuals were shifted to various hospitals for medical treatment.
