(Web Desk): A low-level flood has been recorded at various points along the Chenab and Indus Rivers, according to the Flood Forecasting Division (FFD). Authorities have issued advisories urging residents in nearby areas to remain cautious.
As per the FFD, water levels in the Chenab River have risen at the Head Marala and Qadirabad points. At Head Marala, the inflow of water was recorded at 144,378 cusecs, with an outflow of 120,728 cusecs. At Qadirabad, the inflow was 119,844 cusecs, while the outflow was 104,844 cusecs.
Similarly, water levels in the Indus River have also increased at various locations. At Tarbela Barrage, the inflow is 358,000 cusecs and the outflow is 349,900 cusecs. At Kalabagh, the inflow is 366,503 cusecs, and the outflow is 358,503 cusecs.
At Chashma Barrage, the inflow stands at 359,753 cusecs, with an outflow of 340,753 cusecs. At Taunsa Barrage, the inflow is 311,896 cusecs and the outflow is 305,396 cusecs. At Guddu Barrage, the inflow is 345,474 cusecs and the outflow is 312,781 cusecs.
According to the FFD, all these points are currently experiencing low-level flooding; however, if the rainfall continues, the situation could become more severe.
