‘Electricity bills for farmers should be waived and the provision of seeds and fertilizers to farmers must be ensured’

Muzaffargarh: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto has demanded that electricity bills for farmers in flood-affected areas be waived.
While speaking to flood victims in the Thatta Sial area of Muzaffargarh, Bilawal Bhutto said that electricity bills for farmers should be waived and the provision of seeds and fertilizers to farmers must be ensured.
Proposing an appeal for aid for flood victims, Bilawal stated that this is not a time for political point-scoring. “Right now, we should not be concerned about the background of the affected individuals—standing with the people in difficult times is our collective responsibility,” he said.
Bilawal Bhutto once again called on the government to declare an agricultural emergency, adding that the federal government must work together with the provincial government. He emphasized that the Benazir Income Support Program is the right channel to ensure proper aid reaches the deserving victims.
