US vetoes Gaza ceasefire resolution for sixth time

New York: The United States has once again vetoed the Gaza ceasefire resolution in the United Nations Security Council.

According to American media, the United States vetoed the Gaza ceasefire resolution for the sixth time, while 14 members of the UN Security Council voted in favor of the resolution.

The resolution vetoed by the United States called for an immediate, unconditional, and permanent ceasefire in Gaza and demanded that Israel lift all restrictions on the provision of aid to the Palestinian territory.

This resolution was submitted by 10 of the 15 non-permanent members of the Security Council, including Pakistan.

The American veto comes at a time when the humanitarian crisis in Gaza has intensified, and global pressure for a ceasefire is constantly increasing.

Many countries have expressed disappointment at this US move.

Hamas strongly condemns US move

The Palestinian resistance organization Hamas has strongly condemned the US move to veto the Gaza ceasefire resolution.

Hamas has called the United States an equal partner in the ongoing genocide of Palestinians by Israel in Gaza.

Hamas praised the initiative of 10 non-independent countries, including Pakistan, to submit a ceasefire resolution to the Security Council and demanded that pressure be put on the Israeli government to stop the aggression of the Zionist army in Gaza.
