Extension of date was made under Section A214 of Income Tax Ordinance 2001

Islamabad: The tax return date has been extended by 15 days, the Federal Bureau of Revenue (FBR) has issued a notification.
The FBR says that the last date has been extended at the request of business organizations, tax bar associations, and the public. The extension of the date was made under Section A214 of the Income Tax Ordinance 2001.
Earlier, the FBR had said that the deadline for submitting income tax returns will end at 12 midnight tonight, no extension will be given to the date.
Those who do not file the return by the last date will be considered late filers, and those who do not file the return will be fined according to the law.
