Govt taking all possible steps for maintenance of law, order situation in Moharram: Fawad
Islamabad: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Fawad Chaudhry has said that the government is taking all possible steps for the maintenance of law and order situation in Moharram.

According to Radio Pakistan, Special Representative for Religious Harmony Tahir Ashrafi held a meeting with Fawad Chaudhry in Islamabad and discussed matters pertaining to maintaining law and order situation in Moharram ul Haram and implementation of Paigham-e-Pakistan code of conduct.
Speaking on occasion, the information minister said that the government taking all steps to ensure peace in Moharram and the role of Pakistan Ulema Council and Muttahida Ulema Board for religious harmony is highly appreciable in this regard.
Fawad said that Islam preaches peace, harmony, tolerance and patience and media has an important role for promotion of religious harmony in the country.
The Information Minister further stated that some elements are playing in the hands of enemy to fan sectarianism in the country. He said these elements will never succeed in their designs.
Hafiz Tahir Hussain Ashrafi said that religious scholars of all schools of thought reject extremist mindset. He added that security will be maintained at all costs during Moharram ul Haraam.
