Tel Aviv: After signing the hostage release agreement with Hamas, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke by phone with US President Donald Trump, and the two leaders congratulated each other on the agreement.
Netanyahu said during the telephone conversation that this is a diplomatic success and a national and moral victory for the State of Israel.
The Israeli Prime Minister stated that we have reached this important milestone through military action and the efforts of our great friend and ally, President Trump.
Netanyahu added that he is grateful for Trump’s leadership, his partnership, his unwavering commitment to the security of Israel, and the release of our hostages.
According to the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office, Netanyahu also invited President Trump to address the Israeli parliament.
It is pertinent to note that Israel and Hamas signed the first phase of the US-proposed Gaza peace deal.
The US President said that under this agreement, all hostages will be released soon, while Israel will withdraw its troops to the agreed line.
