PM's participation in Peace Summit reflects Pakistan's voice for rights of Palestinians


Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has left for Sharm el-Sheik on the special invitation of the US President and the Egyptian President.
The Prime Minister will attend the Sharm el-Sheik Peace Summit for a ceasefire in Gaza held in Sharm el-Sheik. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar and Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar are participating in the delegation along with the Prime Minister.
The Prime Minister of Pakistan will especially attend the signing ceremony of the Gaza Peace Agreement in the presence of US President Donald Trump, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, Emir of Qatar Sheik Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and other world leaders.
The peace summit to be held in Sharm el-Sheik is the result of special efforts by President Donald Trump, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and Arab Islamic leaders on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly for a ceasefire in Gaza.
Through a joint statement, the heads of these countries, including the Prime Minister, welcomed US President Donald Trump’s plan for a ceasefire in Gaza, sustainable peace, and development of the region.
The Prime Minister's participation in the Sharm el-Sheik Peace Summit reflects Pakistan's voice for the rights of the Palestinians and providing them with all kinds of political and diplomatic support. Pakistan expects that the ongoing atrocities in Gaza will stop after this peace summit and the agreement signed therein.
