Doctors, paramedics test positive in Lahore hospitals as province grapples with fourth wave
Lahore: The fourth wave of coronavirus is ringing alarm bells as several doctors and paramedical staff in Lahore hospitals have also tested positive for Covid-19.

According to GNN, so far 22 doctors, 13 nurses and nine paramedics have been diagnosed with the virus in four hospitals of Lahore.
In Lahore’s Mayo Hospital, 10 doctors, six nurses, and three paramedics have tested positive for coronavirus while five doctors of general hospital, four nurses and two paramedics have been diagnosed with coronavirus.
Similarly, four doctors, two nurses and two paramedics of Jinnah Hospital tested positive for coronavirus, while in Services Hospital, three doctors, one nurse and two paramedics contracted the virus.
According to the Secretary Primary and Secondary Health, five people died of coronavirus in Lahore in last 24 hours while a total of 18 deaths were reported across the province.
In the last 24 hours, 1,173 new cases have been reported from across the province.
The number of Covid-19 patients in Punjab has reached 360,494, while 11,122 people have lost their lives in the province so far.
