'Fighter, true champion': Arshad Nadeem garners praise on twitter even after medal eludes
Arshad Nadeem, Pakistani athlete specialising in the javelin throw, hailing from Mian Channu, held the gold medal spot until the final round and finished on the fifth spot.

The 24-year-old covered a distance of 82.91m in opening attempt of the final round and 81.98m in the second. But unfortunately, he was surpassed by other contestants.
Despite an obvious lack of resources, Twitterati showered him with praises and his name became the top Pakistani trend on the platform.
Pakistanis lauded the hard work of the athlete for making the country proud.
#ArshadNadeem - you did this without any state or institutional support. You did this with bare minimum resources.
