Information Ministry rejects claim of Afghan Taliban regarding strike in Wana
It is worth noting that such claims by the Taliban government reflect their pattern of spreading propaganda and fabricated narratives.

Islamabad: Pakistan’s Ministry of Information has termed the Afghan Taliban’s claim of a successful attack in Wana as misleading and has clarified the facts.
According to a fact-check issued by the Ministry of Information, a pro-Afghan Taliban social media account had claimed that a successful operation was carried out in Wana. However, the facts contradict this claim.
The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting stated that a drone was neutralized over South Waziristan. The drone was rendered inoperative using soft-kill technology, and no damage was caused. No military installation or infrastructure was harmed.
It is worth noting that such claims by the Taliban government reflect their pattern of spreading propaganda and fabricated narratives.
In recent days, they had also made false claims about shooting down Pakistan Air Force aircraft and capturing pilots, which proved to be untrue. Therefore, their statements cannot be considered credible.
However, according to the fact-check, images and video of the destroyed drone have also been released. The Ministry of Information stated that truth always prevails over falsehood.
