Dhaka: In the first Test between Pakistan and Bangladesh, Pakistan were bowled out for 386 runs in their first innings on the third day of play, while Bangladesh reached 7 runs without loss by stumps. The hosts now hold a lead of 34 runs over Pakistan.

According to details, Pakistan resumed their incomplete innings on the third day at 179 for 1. Azan Awais played a brilliant knock of 103 runs and scored a century on his Test debut.

Abdullah Fazal scored 60 runs, while Mohammad Rizwan made 59 and Salman Ali Agha contributed 58 runs. Among the other batters, Imam-ul-Haq scored 45 and Shaheen Shah Afridi added 13 runs.

For Bangladesh, Mehidy Hasan Miraz delivered an excellent bowling performance and claimed five wickets, while Taskin Ahmed and Taijul Islam took two wickets each.

At the start of the day’s play, Azan Awais and Abdullah Fazal resumed the innings on 84 and 37 runs respectively. Azan soon completed his century before being dismissed for 103.

Pakistan suffered their third wicket at 226 when captain Shan Masood returned to the pavilion after scoring just 9 runs. In the very next over, Saud Shakeel was dismissed without scoring, while Abdullah Fazal was out for 60 after taking the team total to 230.

Later, Mohammad Rizwan and Salman Ali Agha built an important partnership for the sixth wicket and took the score to 349 runs. Both batters scored half-centuries, although Rizwan was eventually caught out for 59.

It is worth mentioning that Bangladesh had scored 413 runs in their first innings. For the hosts, Najmul Hossain Shanto made 101 runs, Mominul Haque scored 91, and Mushfiqur Rahim added 71 runs. For Pakistan, Mohammad Abbas claimed five wickets, while Shaheen Shah Afridi took three, and Nauman Ali and Hasan Ali picked up one wicket each.
