The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has debunked fake rumors floating on social media about Pakistani currency’s design change.

Karachi: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has debunked fake rumors floating on social media about Pakistani currency’s design change.
This comes after social media users widely spread new designs of Pakistani currency notes dubbed as officially endorsed variants— claiming that they would be rolled out soon.
However, SBP late Monday clarified that issuing new currency notes was not on the cards.
The central bank took to its official Twitter handle and denied any such update charting out from its offices—intimating people that it holds no truth.
“Some fake news regarding new designs of currency notes is circulating on social media,” the caption read.
The statement further added, “#SBP categorically denies the news and clarifies that no such proposal is under consideration at the moment".
