Pakistan’s single-day COVID tally falls below 400, lowest since March 2020 

In an indication of a dwindling fourth wave of coronavirus, Pakistan logged below 400 new infections over the past 24 hours, the lowest single-day tally since March last year, the Health Ministry said.

Islamabad: The fourth wave of Covid-19 pandemic has continued its downward trajectory as Pakistan's coronavirus positivity ratio further fell to 1.01% with 391 new cases over the past 24 hours 

In an indication of a dwindling fourth wave of coronavirus, Pakistan logged below 400 new infections over the past 24 hours, the lowest single-day tally since March last year, the Health Ministry said.

According to National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), around 391 cases of coronavirus were reported while 9 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 28,584.  

Pakistan is presently experiencing the fourth wave of coronavirus which is said to be deadlier and more contagious than the previous three COVID waves.

The total number of cases has reached 1,279,142. 

As many as 1,227,228 patients have recovered from the disease.

Punjab

The number of patients swelled to 441,631 in the province with 12,967 causalities.

Sindh

The number of infections has surged to 473,052 in the province, while the death toll has reached 7,599.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

The confirmed cases have surged to 178,926 in the province with 5,786 casualties.

Balochistan

There are 33,383 confirmed cases while 358 patients have died from the infection so far.

AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan

There are 34,501 coronavirus cases in the AJK while the death toll has reached 741. On the other hand, there are 10,400 cases in GB with 186 coronavirus deaths.

Islamabad

There are 107,249 cases in the capital city while 947 people have lost their lives.
