US Special Representative appreciated Pakistan's role and special efforts to help Afghanistan


US Special Representative for Afghanistan Thomas West called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa in Rawalpindi on Friday.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), bilateral cooperation in various fields was discussed.
Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa said that Pakistan desires to maintain the tradition of bilateral engagement and wished for a long-term and multi-domain enduring relationship with the United States.
While talking about the humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan, Army Chief reiterated the need for global convergence on Afghanistan for avoiding the increasing humanitarian crisis and coordinated efforts for economic uplift of the people.
US Special Representative appreciated Pakistan's role and special efforts to help Afghanistan in the current situation, the visiting dignitary also praised the Pakistan army for special efforts for border management and its role in regional stability.
Thomas West also pledged to play his part for further improvement in diplomatic cooperation with Pakistan at all levels.
