The federal government has warned the people before the onset of winter that there will be gas load shedding.

Islamabad: The Federal Minister for Energy Hamad Azhar Friday said that gas for domestic users would be provided three times a day including breakfast, lunch and dinner in winter season.
In order to meet natural gas shortages in the country, the Federal Minister said that domestic consumers will be supplied gas thrice a day for cooking only.
Hammad said that gas is being supplied to the domestic consumers on priority basis and efforts are being made to supply gas to both the domestic as well as industrial sector.
“There is no truth in the news of gas supply three days a week,” he stressed.
Pakistan has secured 11 cargoes of liquefied natural gas (LNG) for the months of November and December, said Hammad.
“The Russian delegation would return in two to three days for a new round of negotiations. LNG is procured through PLL board,” added Azhar.
He further added that one or two cargoes are procured through PSO board, and no purchase can be made without the approval of concerned authorities.
“Today 28% households in Pakistan get gas, while more than 70% households are still unable to get a hold on gas supply,” the energy minister added.
