Covid-19: Pakistan daily death toll lowest in over a month
Islamabad: Pakistan has reported 23 coronavirus deaths and 1,629 new positive cases in one day.
According to National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), around 1,629 cases of coronavirus were reported while 23 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 11,318.
The total number of confirmed cases reached to 534,041.
As many as 488,903 patients have recovered from the disease with 2,218 critical cases.
Punjab
After sharp increase in cases, the number of patients swelled to 154,017 in the province. The province reported 4,568 causalities.
Sindh
The number of infections has surged to 241,200 in the province, while the death toll has reached 3,892.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
The confirmed cases have surged to 65,532 in the province with 3,217 casualties.
Balochistan
There are 18,750 confirmed cases while 193 patients died from the infection so far.
AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan
There are 8,825 coronavirus cases in the AJK while the death toll has reached 256. On the other hand, there are 4,902 cases in GB with 102 coronavirus deaths.
Islamabad
There are 40,815 cases in the capital city while 468 people have lost their lives.
