Massive fire erupts near stadium during Pak-Ban test match

Chittagong: A fire broke out at a chemical facility near Chittagong’s Sagarika Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium on Friday.
The blaze, reportedly, broke at about 10:35am at Homeland Chemical Industry, adjacent to Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium.
The factory is situated about half a kilometre away from the Stadium, where Pakistan and Bangladesh are playing their first Test match.
The smoke from the factory prevailed towards stadium, prompting fear among spectators.
The fire department’s control room was unable to report the cause of the manufacturing fire promptly.
Due to a fire in a factory near the stadium, the match was not canceled.
Meanwhile, twelve vehicles from two fire stations brought the fire under control at about 11:15am.
The cause and damage of the fire couldn’t be known yet.
It was primarily learned that the chemical factory has a huge amount of flammable material.
