Authorities in the Netherlands had seized the largest amount of drugs in the country's history. Dutch officials said in a statement that more than 1,500 kilograms of heroin had been seized from the town of Rotterdam this month.

A statement from the Rotterdam Prosecutor's Office said, "The drugs were seized by customs officials from containers of Himalayan salt imported from Pakistan."
According to Dutch authorities, the operation to seize the drugs was carried in collaboration with British National Crime Agency whereas the value of the seized drugs is around 45 million euros.
According to information released by the British National Crime Agency, Dutch authorities have also arrested five suspects during the operation, three of whom were incarcerated.
According to prosecutors, an investigation is underway, but no further details have been released.
