PM Imran’s efforts against Islamophobia start yielding results: Farrukh Habib
The Minister of State lauded Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau for condemning Islamophobia


Islamabad: Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Farrukh Habib on Sunday said Prime Minister Imran Khan’s efforts against Islamophobia at International level had started yielding results.
In a tweet, the Minister of State lauded Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau for condemning Islamophobia and expressing plan to appoint a special representative to combat the scourge.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin had called for delinking freedom of expression with blasphemy, he added.

It is pertinent to remember that the Canadian premier in a tweet had termed Islamophobia as unacceptable. “Full stop. We need to put an end to this hate and make our communities safer for Muslim Canadians,” he added.

Prime Minister Khan has been very effectively, consistently and vociferously advocating for the global efforts and cooperation to tackle the issue of Islamophobia which had resulted in number of unpleasant incidents in the West.
In the recent past, Russian President Vladimir Putin in a televised interaction had also shared similar thoughts about Islamophobia.
