Assistant Defense Minister of Saudi Arabia meets Army Chief

Rawalpindi: Saudi Arabia's Assistant Defense Minister Major General (Engineer) Talal Bin Abdullah met Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir at General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi, told Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR).

During the meeting, the issues of mutual interest and steps to further promote bilateral defense cooperation including defense production and military training were discussed.

The distinguished guest appreciated the achievements and sacrifices of the Pakistan Army in the war against terrorism, the Saudi general also praised the valuable services of Pakistan Army for regional peace and security.

The Army Chief reiterated Pakistan Army's continuous support for increasing the capacity of Saudi ground forces.

Talal Bin Abdullah also attended the fifth Pak-Saudi defense cooperation meeting at GHQ, which he chaired under the leadership of Pakistan Army.

The forum discussed global and regional security challenges and their impact on defense forces.

It also said that rapid development in modern technology necessitates defense industrial cooperation in key capabilities between the two brotherly nations.

Washington: US authorities said that they have a partnership with Pakistan to deal with economic challenges.

Speaking during a press briefing in Washington, US State Department Deputy Spokesman Vedant Patel stated that they are committed to continue working with Pakistan and will continue to cooperate with the government of Pakistan to deal with economic challenges.

It is pertinent to note that a day ago, the spokesperson of the US State Department, Matthew Miller, during a press briefing, praised the economic reforms carried out by Pakistan to deal with the economic challenges.

Matthew Miller said that the United States welcomes the agreement between Pakistan and International Monetary Fund (IMF). Pakistan is taking steps to stabilize its economy, and appreciates Pakistan's economic reforms to deal with economic challenges.

Rawalpindi: The video has gone viral on social media platforms of meeting captain Babar Azam and fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi with each other in the effected match from rain between Pakistan and New Zealand.

According to the details, the first T20 match was affected from rain in Rawalpindi yesterday (Thursday) where only two balls game was possible. The rumors were running on the tense situation between Babar Azam and Shaheen Afridi but they had met each other before the start of the match.

Earlier, in the press conference Babar Azam stated that he is wondered to hear the news of having differences between him and Shaheen Afridi. He affirmed that he has good relations with each other.

It should be noted that the series second T20 match will be played in Rawalpindi stadium on April 20.
