Karachi: In a tragic incident, unidentified suspects killed a widow and her two-year-old child in the premises of Shah Latif Town police station in Karachi.
According to details, the incident took place in Quaidabad Gosht Gali where accused took away cash, gold ornaments and mobile phones from the house.
The victim had been identified as Faiza and her two-year-old son as Zohan. The woman was killed using a sharp knife while her son was killed by immersing in a water tank.
The victim was living alone at home and was going through her Iddat— also known as waiting period of four months and 10 days that a woman must observe after the death of her husband or after divorce, during which she may not marry another man.
Talking to media, the deceased's nephew Hamad told that the main door was open when he went round to her house in the evening.
Faiza’s sister and niece came to her place at 8:00pm and looked through the window when she saw that Fiza’s body was covered in blood.
According to the police, the crime scene unit has collected the evidence from the crime scene.
The closet of the deceased's house was open. The accused had fled away taking all the gold, cash and mobile phone available in the house. It is reported that Faiza was the second wife of her husband.
