Islamabad: World Suicide Prevention Day is being observed on Sunday to provide commitment and action to prevent suicide.
The theme for the Day this year is ‘Creating Hope through Action’.
This theme serves as a powerful call to action and reminder that there is an alternative to suicide and through our actions we can encourage hope and strengthen prevention.
Addressing a seminar on World Suicide Day in Karachi, Sindh Caretaker Health Minister Dr Saad Khalid Niaz has stressed need to eliminate the trend of suicide from the society.

He said extensive use of social media and spread of fake news have put negative impact on people's psychology and as a result, the anxiety in people is increasing day by day.
He emphasized to create awareness among public regarding means to tackle social and psychological issues.
