Imran Khan should complete 172 numbers against opposition rather than gathering one million people for Islamabad rally

Islamabad: Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Sunday has claimed that Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has lost majority and trust of his allies.
Speaking to journalists regarding the no-trust move, the PDM head said that the prime minister should complete 172 numbers against opposition rather than gathering one million people for the Islamabad rally. He also asked the public to be ready as the opposition will summon them to Islamabad at any moment.
“The matter is out of PM Khan’s hands now,” he claimed, adding that “he should gather 172 members against the Opposition in the National Assembly rather than gathering one million people for the Islamabad rally.” He further said that the workers should reach Islamabad as soon as they are summoned.
Earlier GNN reported that the National Assembly Secretariat had declared the no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan as per the rules.
According to details, the National Assembly Secretariat has completed the verification of the signatures of the opposition members on the no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan and recusal of convening the meeting.
The first stage was the requisition and the second was the ratification of the signatures on the no-confidence motion. Both phases were reviewed for movement's completion and compliance with the rules.
Sources said that the signatures of any member on the no-confidence motion and requisition did not turn out to be suspicious or against the role of the sign.
Subsequently, the National Assembly Secretariat has declared the opposition movement against Imran Khan as per rules.
Sources said that the Assembly Secretariat has also suggested the Speaker convening a meeting on any day before March 22.
The National Assembly Secretariat has said that convening a meeting is a constitutional requirement that cannot be deviated from.
