The National Assembly began under the supervision of Speaker Asad Qaiser.

Islamabad: The crucial National Assembly (NA) session has commenced at 10:34 and vote on the no-trust motion that could seal the fate of Prime Minister Imran Khan, whose numbers in the house have significantly dwindled.
The session started with the recitation of Holy Quran and naat under the supervision of Speaker Asad Qaiser.
It comes a day after Pakistan's Supreme Court blocked his bid to stay in power, ruling that his move to dissolve parliament and call elections early was illegal.
Pakistan’s Parliament is all set to vote on the crucial no-confidence resolution against Imran Khan who faces the possibility of being the first premier in the country’s history to be voted out in a no-trust motion.
Imran Khan surged to power in 2018, but recently lost his parliamentary majority.
It is pertinent to mention here that no prime minister has finished a full five-year term since independence from Britain in 1947.
