Flash flood kills 20 in Afghanistan
"The flood left dozens of houses destroyed"
Kabul: In Afghanistan, at least 20 people died and 30 others were injured in a flash flood caused by heavy rains in more than 10 provinces of the country.
The Afghan Acting Deputy Minister of Natural Disaster Management, Mawlawi Sharfuddin Muslim, said the flood left dozens of houses destroyed and caused losses to around 100 livestock.
The flooding hit Kandahar, Helmand, Herat, Badakhshan, Takhar, Parwan, Kunduz, Maidan Wardak, Baghlan, Faryab, and Jawzjan provinces.
However, Baghlan, Parwan, and Badghis are the three most affected provinces.
