Money-laundering case: PM, CM appear before court
Both are on interim bail in the case.
Lahore: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his son Hamza Shehbaz, Punjab Chief Minister, arrived in the special court central for their hearing in the money-laundering case on Saturday (today).
According to details, the premier appeared before special judge central after he had skipped the previous four proceedings to indict him in the money laundering case.
During the last hearing, Sharif approached the Lahore court seeking an exemption from personal appearance in the money laundering case.
The father-son duo indictment is due before court and both are on interim bail in the case. Both are likely to be indicted in the Rs16 billion money laundering today.
They were also accompanied by Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah, who was there for the hearing in the drug smuggling case.
