A 40-year-old man was killed while 15 others sustained injuries after two ferries collided on the Shimulia-Majhikandi route in Shariatpur.
According to details, the accident took place around 4 am on Sunday when the passenger ferries—Begum Rokeya and Begum Sufia Kamal—collided face-to-face near Jajira.
Reportedly, the ferries collided due to the strong current in the Padma River.
