Audio leak: PTI moves SC to form judicial commission for inquiry
The transcript of the audio leaks has been submitted to the Supreme Court
Islamabad: The Pakistan Tehreek-e- Insaf (PTI) has filed an application in the Supreme Court for the formation of a judicial commission for an investigation into the alleged audio leaks of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and other ministers.
This application has been filed by PTI in the pending case related to various resignations.
The transcript of PTI-related audio leaks of the Prime Minister and federal ministers has been submitted to the Supreme Court.
In the petition, the stance has been taken that the Prime Minister and the Federal Ministers along with the Speaker hatched a criminal conspiracy related to the PTI resignations, the Prime Minister and the Federal Ministers violated their oath and therefore leaked the audio related to the PTI resignations. An inquiry commission should be constituted for the investigation.
The petition states that the investigation commission should investigate the Prime Minister, Rana Sanaullah, Azam Nazir Tarar, Khawaja Asif and the Speaker and criminal proceedings should be initiated against all the parties on the charge of this conspiracy.
On September 25, the alleged audio leak about the discussion of political leaders in the Prime Minister's office surfaced. In this audio leak, the matter related to the resignations of Tehreek-e-Insaf was revealed.
