Imran Khan suspects three important behind assassination attempt on him: Asad Umar
The PTI chief has demanded removal of the prime minister, the interior minister and a senior army officer from the posts.
Lahore: PTI Secretary-General Asad Umar said Thursday that party chairman Imran Khan had suspected three important people behind the attack on him during the PTI's long march in Wazirabad.
In a video statement alongside party leader Mian Aslam Iqbal, the PTI leader said Imran Khan named Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah, and a senior military officer for an assassination attempt on him.
"Imran Khan has said that he had the information beforehand that these people might be involved in the assassination attempt on him," Umar said.
Quoting the PTI chairman, Asad demanded that all three people -- the premier, the interior minister, and the senior military officer -- should be removed from their offices.
The PTI leader added that Khan has warned that if these officials were not removed from their officers, then the party would hold countrywide protests as Pakistan cannot run in this manner anymore.
He further warned that if the demands were not met, then all the party's workers were awaiting Khan's call for countrywide protests.
