HBL PSL 8: 21 foreign players to play mega tournament this year
The reports say that besides the foreign players, 15 local players will also play the mega event starting from February 13.
Lahore: Like every year, as many as 21 foreign players are likely to play their debut matches in the upcoming HBL PSL 8 in Pakistan.
The media reports said that the foreign players who would take part in HBL PSL 8 are Dwaine Pretorius (Quetta Gladiators), Andrew Tye (Karachi Kings), Adil Rashid, Akeal Hosein (both Multan Sultans), Bhanuka Rajapaksa (Peshawar Zalmi), Fazalhaq Farooqi, Gus Atkinson (both Islamabad United), Izharulhaq Naveed (Multan Sultans), Odean Smith (all Quetta Gladiators), Shane Dadswell (Lahore Qalandars), Richard Gleeson (Peshawar Zalmi), Tabraiz Shamsi (Karachi Kings), Wanindu Hasaranga (Quetta Gladiators), Tom Curran (Islamabad United). James Fuller (Karachi Kings), Jimmy Neesham (Peshawar Zalmi), Josh Little (Multan Sultans), Kusal Mendis (Lahore Qalandars), Matthew Wade (Karachi Kings) and Naveen-ul-Haq, Nuwan Thushara,
Besides the foreign players, 15 local players will also play the mega event this year.
Mirza Tahir Baig (Lahore Qalandars), Shawaiz Irfan (Lahore Qalandars), Sufyan Muqeem (Peshawar Zalmi), Tayyab Tahir (Karachi Kings), Mohammad ‘Karnal’ Zahid (Quetta Gladiators), Mohammad Sarwar Afridi (Multan Sultans), Omair Bin Yousuf (Quetta Gladiators), Saud Shakeel (Quetta Gladiators), Ahsan Bhatti (Lahore Qalandars), Aamer Jamal (Peshawar Zalmi), Aimal Khan (Quetta Gladiators), Arafat Minhas (Multan Sultans), Haseebullah (Peshawar Zalmi), Hassan Nawaz (Islamabad United) and Irfan Khan Niazi (Karachi Kings) are among them.
The HBL PSL 8 will star from February 13 to March 19 while different cities including Lahore, Multan and Rawalpindi will host the matches.
Multan will host five matches and Lahore and Karachi will host nine matches each and Lahore each while 11 matches will be played in Peshawar.
