Seven including four children injured in Karachi cylinder blast
Karachi: In an unfortunate incident, four children and two women sustained serious injuries after a gas explosion occurred at a house near Soldier Bazaar in Karachi, GNN reported.
According to details, the explosion was so intense that the head of the family, a 40-year old widow women fell from the first floor to the ground floor.
Her condition is stated to be critical.
Following the horrific incident, it is being speculated that the explosion occurred after a family member turned on a stove in an air-conditioned room.
Rescue teams and police reached the spot after getting information and shifted to Civil Hospital where they are undergoing treatment.
As per rescue sources, the walls of the house collapsed in the street while walls and windowpanes of the nearby houses were also damaged.
Earlier in Lahore, at least four children were killed and 12 others injured in a blast - reportedly caused by a gas leak - which ripped through house near Burki Road in Pangali Village.
