Tank: Police thwarted the terrorist attack on Gomal police station in Tank district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, adjacent to South Waziristan on Saturday.
According to police officials, there was an exchange of fire for 15 minutes between the police and the terrorists in which no casualties were reported.
The attackers escaped due to the retaliatory firing by the police, after which police started a search operation in the area.
On the other hand, three terrorists were arrested in the operation of Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) in Bannu.
Meanwhile, eight people including an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) were injured in firing at an officer’s house in Dande Saidgi area of North Waziristan.
