Balochistan faces medicine shortage
The shopkeepers who have the medicines are selling them at high prices.
Quetta: The medicines for fever, headache, diabetes and other diseases including cancer have disappeared from the markets of Balochistan.
According to the details, most of the medicines for children's fever and allergy medicines are not available at the pharmacies in the province.
The shopkeepers who have the medicines available are selling them at high prices. Whereas patients suffering from various diseases are searching for medicines.
In this regard, shopkeepers said that medicines for fever, headache, mental rest, diabetes, cancer, children's fever and allergies were not being provided by the companies. While most of the medicines had been stored, therefore when the prices get increased, they would bring them in the market for sale it higher rates.
Health Department of Balochistan had not taken any steps so far to ensure the supply of these medicines.
