PSL 2023: Peshawar Zalmi beat Qalandars by 35 runs
Peshawar Zalmi had set the target of 208 for Qalandars but they could hardly score 172 at Rawalpindi Stadium.
Rawalpindi: Peshawar Zalmi beat Lahore Qalandars by 35 runs at Rawalpindi Stadium on Tuesday. Qalandars failed to chase the target of 208 runs set by Zalmi, and could hardly score 172.
It was the 23rd match of HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) 8.
Earlier, Peshawar Zalmi captain Babar Azam won the toss and decided to bat first.
In the conversation after the toss, Shaheen Shah said: “We would have preferred to bat first after winning the toss”.
Shaheen said that Shahwaiz has been included in the team by making a change, adding that they will try to restrict Peshawar Zalmi to 150 runs.
On the points table of PSL, Lahore Qalandars are at the first place and Peshawar Zalmi is at the fourth position. Lahore Qalandars won six out of seven matches, while Peshawar Zalmi won three out of six matches.
