Saleem was disturbed due to poverty and inflation and he committed suicide along with three-year old minor daughter by jumping into Abbasia canal in district Muzaffargarh.


Muzaffargarh: The rescue operation continued for the second day on Friday to search boides of a man and his three-year old daughter who committed suicide by jumping into Abbasia canal of Alipur Tehseel, Muzaffargarh.
Saleem, a resident of Ahmedpur Sharqia of district Bahawalpur, was disturbed due to poverty and inflation. The man tied his three-year old daughter Zoha with him and jumped into Abbasia canal on Thursday.
The police said that Rescue Service 1122 launched the operation to search the bodies of both man and his daughter.
During the operation, the rescuers found found an identity card and a photo of Saleem from his clothes. But the operation was later stopped due to the darkness of the night in the area. The service launched operation again and it was still underway to search the bodies of man and his daughter.
