Karachi: Pakistani movie "Noor" made its much-anticipated debut in Karachi at the Indus Valley School of Arts after winning the best health film in the online edition category at Cannes.

A large number of people attended the screening on Monday, graced by the presence of actor and director Umar Adil.

"Noor" revolves around the story of an eight-year-old girl challenging the stigma associated with wearing glasses, shedding light on society's treatment of individuals with vision problems.

The film, which deeply resonated with the audience, was followed by a question and answer session where the filmmakers provided further insights into the narrative.

The movie effectively portrays society's tendency to judge and marginalize individuals facing disabilities or physical challenges instead of extending support and understanding.

Produced by See-Prime, "Noor" is a short film that deviates from conventional elements like music, action sequences, or comedy.

However, its captivating subject matter ensures an engaging experience for the viewers.

The plot, skillfully penned by Farah Usman, captivates the audience from start to finish, leaving no room for moments that could be considered insignificant.
