Eight including two children died as heavy rain lashes Punjab
The latest reports suggest that incidents of lightening claimed the lives of the people in different areas including Shakargarh tehsil of Narowal district.
Lahore: At least eight people died and several others injured during the thunderstorm in Punjab on Sunday evening.
The latest reports suggested that incidents of lightening claimed lives of the people in different areas including Shakargarh tehsil of Narowal district. Two young children were among those who lose their lives. The injured people were shifted to nearby hospital for medical aid.

The unfortunate events unfolded in various locations within Shakargarh, specifically in Panj Pir, Ratanpur, Changowali, and Kangoi.
The heat wave in Lahore and many other cities of Punjab disappeared after the thunderstorm. The cool breeze is blowing now in the most parts of Punjab, turning the weather into pleasant one and the people are rejoicing the weather at the moment.
However, many parts of Punjab reported power outages since the thunderstorm hit them on Sunday evening.
Pakistan Metrological Department had earlier predicted pre-Monsoon rains with dust thunderstorm in upper and central parts from 25th to 30th June with occasional gaps (Prevailing Heat wave conditions are likely to subside from 25th June).
Met Office had informed that moist currents are penetrating in upper and central parts of the country from Arabian sea and a westerly wave is likely to enter in upper parts of the country on 25th June.
