First case of Naegeria disease reported in Lahore
The patient was admitted to Services Hospital Lahore.
Lahore: A patient affected by a Naegeria disease has been reported in Lahore, Pakistan.
The 30-year-old individual was admitted to Services Hospital for treatment.
According to the hospital administration, the patient had been experiencing symptoms such as headache, fever, and various other indications for the past four days.
The symptoms began after the patient went swimming, suggesting that the Naegeria disease was contracted through nasal exposure.
This marks the first reported case of Naegeria disease in Lahore, with confirmation from a private laboratory.
Services Hospital authorities revealed that the patient remained in critical condition for one day while receiving treatment at Services Hospital.
Unfortunately, the individual suffered a heart attack due to complications arising from the Naegeria disease, leading to their demise.
