PM inaugurates central campus of National University of Technology
PM highlights educational reforms and youth empowerment at campus inauguration.
Islamabad: Shehbaz Sharif laid the foundation stone of the central campus of the National University of Technology in Islamabad and distributed certificates among the youth.
Addressing the ceremony, Shahbaz Sharif said that efforts are underway to bring reforms in the field of education, and empowering the youth with skills is the key to success in the present time.
He expressed confidence that the university administration will move forward, as skills are the best tool in any field, and talented youth will brighten Pakistan's name worldwide.
Prime Minister stated that during his tenure in the Punjab government, he focused on vocational training.
In 1997, work was done on projects for learning and teaching skills. However, resources are required to initiate any work.
During his address at the ceremony, Shehbaz Sharif emphasized the importance of technical education for the progress of nations.
In 2008, the Punjab Endowment Fund was established, and model schools were built for quality education for underprivileged children.
However, scholars raised objections to the utilization of the Zakat Fund.
Furthermore, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated that there is only one month left for our government's term to end, and we are facing issues due to trade losses.
The PM also announced to hand over government affairs to the caretaker government next month.
