MPA’s brother, nephew killed in Karachi firing
Victims were surrounded by the accused on more than one motorcycle who shot at them.
Karachi: The brother and nephew of Sindh Assembly Member Aslam Abro were killed in a firing incident on their vehicle in Defense, area of Karachi.
According to the police, motorcycle-riding terrorists opened fire on a vehicle in Defense, in which three people, including the brother Akram Abro and nephew of Sindh Assembly member Aslam Abro, were seriously injured, who were taken to the hospital for immediate medical assistance, where two of the injured died.
Police told that the windshield of car was hit by the firing and over two dozen bullets hit the sides while Elahi Bakhsh Abro remained safe in the firing incident.
According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) investigation, victims riding the vehicle were going to DHA Phase-VII from Defense Khayaban Shamsher when they were surrounded by the accused on more than one motorcycle who shot at them.
The investigation done by police also told that two types of weapons have been used in the incident. The shells of 9 mm and large ammunition have been found at the site of incident.
