Islamabad: interim Prime Minister of Pakistan Anwarul Haq Kakar on Monday assumed his responsibilities after taking the oath of office.

Earlier, Interim Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar and outgoing PM Shehbaz was presented guard of honour in a ceremony at the Prime Minister House on Monday.
The guard of honour was provided by an elegant group of the armed forces. On this occasion, the national anthem was also played.
Earlier today, Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar has taken the oath as the caretaker prime minister of Pakistan on Monday.
According to details, Anwar-ul-Haq took the oath under the leadership of President Dr. Arif Alvi.
Former Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif congratulated the new caretaker prime minister for taking up the responsibilities.
He is the eighth caretaker prime minister of Pakistan.
National Assembly speaker Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani, Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori, Punjab Governor Balighur Rehman, PTI Senator Shehbaz Waseem, PPP’s Faisal Karim Kundi and others also attended the ceremony.
