Islamabad: A sessions court in Islamabad has dismissed Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan bail in six cases related to the May 9 riots and fake slips of Toshakhana gifts on Tuesday.
The PTI chairman’s bail petitions were denied today by the courts in Islamabad in nine cases.
Mirza Asim Baig, the PTI chairman's attorney, appeared before the sessions court during the hearing.
The verdict in six cases that were filed at the Karachi Company, Ramna, Kohsar, Tarnol, and Secretariat police stations was pronounced by sessions court judge Muhammad Sohail.
The PTI chairman's participation in the investigation into the aforementioned crimes, according to Judge Muhammad Sohail, would be preferable. He decided that in light of the Supreme Court's decision, the arguments for an extension of bail could not be accepted.
Earlier, the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) of Islamabad Tuesday rejected the bails of Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan in three cases.
According to details, ATC Islamabad Judge Abul Hasanat Zulqarnain denied the bail of Imran Khan in three cases.
The court rejected the bails of former prime minister in two cases registered in Khana Police Station and one in Bara Kaho. The bails have been rejected over non-appearance of Imran in the court.
The appeal filed by PTI for exemption from the attendance of Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf has also been rejected by the court.
