The Pakistan Awami Muslim League head highlights an impending constitutional and legal crisis in the nation, where economic challenges have taken precedence over political matters.

Rawalpindi: Former interior minister and Pakistan Awami Muslim League head Sheikh Rashid on Saturday emphasized the critical link between political stability and economic solutions on Saturday.
Taking to X, he highlighted an impending constitutional and legal crisis in the nation, where economic challenges have taken precedence over political matters.
Rashid said that while the timing and authority behind upcoming elections are of secondary concern, the primary issue gripping the public's attention is the surge in electricity bills and high petrol prices. He pointed out that for the first time, both sugar and flour are being sold at an equal rate of Rs 170 per kg in the country.
The burden of purchasing flour, paying electricity bills, house rent, and children's education fees is overwhelming for individuals relying on a single salary.
The veteran politician emphasized that these very individuals are the ones upholding the state of Pakistan, and they find themselves under immense economic and political strain. Rashid underscored that the most pressing challenge for an average citizen now revolves around supporting their family and managing household expenses, a concern that seems to be overlooked by authorities.
Rashid concluded by asserting that the government's primary duty is to address the issues faced by the economically disadvantaged.
