Islamabad: Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Jawad Sohrab inaugurated the state-of-the-art 24/7 Complaint Monitoring Cell at the Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF) on Wednesday.
According to the notification, the cell will give Pakistanis living abroad a "dedicated platform" to submit their concerns from anywhere in the world and ensure that their problems are promptly addressed.
The SAPM was briefed on numerous other welfare initiatives carried out by the OPF in the areas of social services, housing, and education during the visit. The SAPM praised these initiatives for having a significant influence on Pakistanis living abroad.
In order to make it easier for Pakistanis living abroad to voice their issues, SAPM Sohrab expressed his happiness with the cell's creation and the incorporation of contemporary communication channels.
He emphasized that the mission of the caretaker prime minister to ensure the welfare of Pakistanis living abroad is being vigorously pursued, with real, actionable efforts being made to make their experience profitable and rewarding. He emphasized that the abroad Pakistanis are given top importance by the current temporary administration.
According to the press release, the government intends to offer practical solutions through initiatives like the creation of these cells.
The addition of two WhatsApp numbers (+92 301 9872195 & +92 306 0329901) as well as a dedicated Universal Access Number (UAN) +92 51 111 040 040 is a significant component of the cell. Additionally, the system now includes a user-friendly web interface (https://opf.pitb.gov.pk).
