Pakistan to launch 5G services within 10 months

Islamabad: Interim Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication Dr Umar Saif on Wednesday decided that the 5G services will be launched in Pakistan within 10 months.
A key discussion between Saif and Maj Gen (R) Hafeezur Rehman, chairman of the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), led to the development. The discussions covered complex telecommunications issues, the upcoming 5G auction, and spectrum distribution.
The minister also went into great detail on impending telecom plans, the introduction of the 5G spectrum, and methods for making the best use of the spectrum.
Dr. Umar Saif clarified the vital function that coordinated 5G network deployment and effective spectrum use play.
Dr. Umar Saif highlighted his unshakable commitment to removing obstacles by creating a priority-based standard. He made it clear that issues with taxation, telecom density, and spectrum management would be vigorously dealt with.
In line with this proactive approach, the IT minister reaffirmed the administration's commitment to boosting consumers' experiences through improving the quality of telecom services.
The minister emphasized the importance of maximizing current telecom provisions in order to make sure that citizens get the most out of these services.
In addition, the Ministry of IT and Telecom declared that 5G will be available by the middle of 2023 and that it was actively courting foreign businesses.
