Niece pregnant after rape by Uncle
A niece became pregnant due to alleged rape by her uncle in the Muzaffargarh district of Punjab.
As reported by local media, police has registered a case in the Rohilani police station under Section 376 (i) of the Pakistan Penal Code and started an investigation of the incident.
According to details, the girl's father had died 16/17 years ago, after which her mother had re-married and she was also living with her.
In the FIR, the girl stated that her uncle Bashir Ahmed lives near the house who had called her at his place some 8 months ago on the pretext to cook food for him as his wife was angry and had left the house.
The victim alleged that her uncle raped her on the occasion and threatened to kill her if she resisted or communicated with anyone.
According to the girl, she did not discuss the incident with anyone out of fear, but now that she is pregnant, her mother became suspicious and has told the whole story.
The girl has been given medical treatment at District Headquarters Hospital, Muzaffargarh, in the light of which further action will be taken.
Earlier this month, police arrested a man in a village in Sahiwal for allegedly raping his daughter. Police had registered a case under Section 376 of the Pakistan Penal Code on the complaint of the victim's brother.
In April 2019, Sialkot police arrested the father of a man who allegedly raped his real daughter several times in the Pasrur area.
In January 2021, a local court in Rawalpindi sentenced a man to death for raping and killing his 7-year-old niece.
Earlier, a local court in Rawalpindi had sentenced the brother of prominent Pashto singer Nazia Iqbal to death and fined her Rs 600,000 for raping her two daughters.
