Islamabad: Pakistan is presently experiencing the third wave of coronavirus which is said to be deadlier and more contagious than previous two waves.

According to National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), around 4,109 cases of coronavirus were reported while 120 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 18,797.

The total number of confirmed cases reached to 854,240.

As many as 752,712 patients have recovered from the disease with 4,986 critical cases.

Punjab                                    

The number of patients swelled to 316,334 in the province with 8,951 causalities.

Sindh

The number of infections has surged to 290,756 in the province, while the death toll has reached 4,722.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

The confirmed cases have surged to 123,150 in the province with 3,066 casualties.

Balochistan

There are 23,186 confirmed cases while 246 patients have died from the infection so far.

AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan

There are 17,763 coronavirus cases in the AJK while the death toll has reached 503. On the other hand, there are 5,367 cases in GB with 107 coronavirus deaths.

Islamabad

There are 77,684 cases in the capital city while 706 people have lost their lives.
