ECP reserves ruling on PTI's intra-party elections
Election Commission postponed making a ruling about Tehreek-e-Insaf intra-party elections.
Islamabad: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has reserved its decision regarding the intra-party elections of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Wednesday.
Tehreek-e-Insaf's internal elections were the subject of a hearing before a four-person Election Commission commission led by Nisar Durrani. Attorney Ali Gohar from PTI appeared before the Election Commission.
Attorney Ali Gohar stated during the hearing that Attorney Ali Zafar was occupied in the Islamabad High Court. He declared that Barrister Zafar will personally attend the court proceeding and present arguments.
Later, the Election Commission postponed making a ruling about Tehreek-e-Insaf intra-party elections.
The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) had summoned the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) bigwigs for not conducting intra-party elections on August 4. Sources divulged that the electoral watchdog had sent a notice to the party for not holding the intra-party elections.
The ECP had issued a notice in the name of the PTI chief. The ECP had summoned the PTI leadership at 10am on Friday.
